After shedding to East Hampton in early January, Comsewogue had a rating to settle. This time, nevertheless, the Warriors had been at full energy, outpacing the visiting Bonackers 64-46 on Tuesday, Feb. 7, throughout their Senior Evening celebration.
Comsewogue opened the second half defending a 10-point lead that grew to twenty within the third quarter. With a wholesome cushion, head coach Joel Sutherland flushed his bench.
The Comsewogue seniors led the best way in victory, with Colin Strohm netting 23 factors, Austin Nesbitt banking 16 and Hayden Morris-Grey including 14. Teammates Ryan Harding, Mikey Bernzott and Aidan Bayer scored three factors apiece, with Cole Keating including two within the Div. IV matchup.
The win lifts the Warriors to 12-3 in league, 15-5 total, to conclude their common season. The playoffs start Saturday, Feb. 11.
